2015 C400 transmission click sound?
I purchased a used c400 with 45k KM few weeks ago and when I put the car from park to Drive or reverse to drive or reverse to park, the car makes a clicking sound and slightly jerks. I took it in and they said they tested same thing on another c400 and its normal. However they did update a software in the transmission, but the click sound and slight jerk changing between gears is still occurring even after the transmission software update..
has anyone else experienced this while changing gears if they hear that sound? I had a cla 250 loaner for a week and I didn't hear that I know that's a different transmission but was curious as I am still in my warranty period.
(already have had gotten both rear air struts replaced, rear assembly sensors replaced, gas assembly replaced, fan motor blower replaced) the car has been caliberated like 5 times but I will monitor to see if the rear is still sagging or not..ya so far not enjoying what I paid for.

I experienced slight jerks as you did on my C250. Here's a thread I created to seek clarification:

As for the clicking sounds I read on reddit a discussion about this to confirm it's normal.

My mate who drives a CLA doesn't seem to have this issue as well but like you mentioned, probably a different transmission altogether?

Noise in park as well
I recently noticed on a 2017 C 43, with the 9G-TRONIC, if I hit the park button, there is a click or tick sound. It doesn't do it when switching to Drive or Reverse or Neutral.
What I found odd is, this sound is also present when the transmission shifts from the 7th gear to 8th, any idea what it might be?
There is also a whining/whirring sound when I go to Drive or Reverse from Park. Sounds electrical and mechanical at the same time, any ideas as well?
For example, the tick is at the 2 second mark, 5 second mark, 8 second mark, 15 second mark.
For example whining (or whirring) is at the 1 second mark, 3 second mark, 6 second mark, 9 second mark, 16 second mark.
The tick sound when engaging park sounds very similar if not identical to the sound when shifting from gear 7 to gear 8.
The whirring/whining and the tick are two different noises.
Thank you for reading this. All suggestions are welcomed!
