Car Jerks when Shifting into Park

Is it normal for the car to jerk a little when shifting from D to P or R to P? The jerk from R to P is much less than from D to P though, even with parking brakes on before shifting to P.

The transmission shifts smooth as butter from P to D or R, as well as in between gears while driving. Any cause for concern?

Only in opposite way P -> D or P -> R, but I guess it yould do it from P -> D also if there is any drivetrain load.

No jerks shifting from P to D and/or R. So no cause for concern and can safely assume it is normal?

I realised it jerks when shifting from D or R into N, but no jerks when shifting from N into P.

I hope it is normal because I haven't been paying attention to these jerks until I read a few issues on this forum regarding transmission jerks.

I have this same issue or I dunno if its normal or an issue.

from P to D there is a slight jerk, from R to D and D to P....I will ask MB if this is normal and post my reply.

thanks

It actually jerks from R / D to N, but from N to P it doesn't. Probably the reason why it jerks from R to D or D to R because the transmission lever shifts to N first. That's the only logical explanation I could come out with after spending some time in the car today just shifting between R, D, N and P.

Mine has a slight jerk but I’ve never worried about it.

Did someone solve the problem? I also have a jerk from D to P, much smaller from R to P.
