Hello guys,

The c class W205 will get now a software update with the facelift rolling out now?

I have a w205 2014 model

Mines booked in as stop/start not working tried regulator/battery dealer said will do software update, has seen this to be effective.

No. there’s no incentive for MB to do this. If you want new stuff, it’s buy a new car. MB will only make software updates to older cars to fix issues, not to provide features you need new hardware/the new model for.

Mercedes like to SCREW their customers !
on 2019 cars, the Mercedes Me app shows gas mileage range left, engine off status, tire pressure, etc. why cant my 2016 shows these stuffs ?

You can get it. You need to find out from your dealer whether your car needs an adapter or if it already has the software installed.

In Canada the mercedes me is just starting out. I got quoted about $100US for the obd adapter. Not sure of capability for a 2015 w205 but waiting to see.

Look on eBay.
Thay are not that expensive
But they are not at any use I think.
Not worth the money.

Then better get an ELM327 OBD and use the app Torque

I don't trust ebay for this specific app/use case. I'd rather have the dealership back the product should i want to return it. I always want to make sure I can receive support when I run into trouble.

Sorted, they replaced main battery stop works perfectly now, said no updates required.
