Air-intake box sensor?

Hello guys!
I've just gotten my BMS cold air intake which i planned on mounting on my 2015 C180 (i plan on making a heatshield of sorts because i've seen concerns with the intake being close to the engine bay, hence not sucking in cold air)
And when i went to open the factory airbox i noticed a sensor of somesorts located at the back of the airfilterbox. And i'm having a real struggle getting this sensor out since i don't wanna pry or force anything on it. I attached some pictures to best try and describe it but i think they might've been rotated but the airfilter box(not sure if thats the right term) is located top left in the engine bay and the sensor on the back of that box.
Could anyone help me out?

If you press down the gray clip it should slide right out with a slight wiggle and tug. Once you remove the airbox the sensor can be removed by twisting and then pulling out.

It twists out and just plugs in to the BMS filter. I would not suggest any additional shielding beyond what we've provided on the intake. It works very well as is.

I agree, have had mine on for last 6 months and didn’t have any issues over the summer (in NY).

Thanks a lot! I got it working yesterday and i'm really happy with the outcome and the sound. I'm just wondering if the engine cover is supposed to fit afterwards because it looks like the airintake is mounted a big high up so the cover wont fit back on.
Going to go over it tommorow and check if i might have mounted it at slightly tilted angel.

Alright i was just a bit worried about heat since it seems so close to the engine, but i'll just keep it as it!
