2015 C250 (W205) Windshield camera module
Hello,
Yesterday when I was driving I heard a 'pop' noise inside the cabin followed by a slight smoke and a burning smell. I stopped the car and checked but couldn't notice when the smell is coming from. Finally, I noticed it's from my windshield camera assembly. Also, I noticed 2 messages on the dash saying " Pre-safe functions limited" and "active lane keep assist inoperative'. has anybody experienced this? is this a costly repair? (my car warranty just ran out).

i have the same messages on my 2016 C450. have the camera replaced at 50k miles service.
cant tell you how much since mine is on warranty. replaced the camera, calibrate the camera, and road test.
