Just got a gently used 2015 C300 4Matic last week
2015 C300 4matic, Palladium Silver, Black MB Tex, Linden Wood, Rearview Camera, 18 inch twin 5 spoke wheels, Pano roof, Heated seats, P1 package (Burmester sound, LED headlamps, Keyless Go)
Had a 2015 Audi A3 Quattro Premium Plus and the lease just ended. I had the option to buy the Audi for $23K but the dealer had this C300 on their used car lot and I fell in love with it. The C300 also cost $23K but it only had 20K miles on it, the A3 had 28K miles. The original C300 MSRP was also $10K more than the A3. After driving the C300 this past week, I'm having second thoughts about this car. The fit and finish on the Audi is so much better than the Benz. This was my second Audi A3 and neither one ever had any rattles or squeaks or any problems at all. So far i've noticed on the C300 that the steering column rattles and the driver's window has wind noise at higher speeds. I was waxing the car today, and when I apply pressure on the hood, it creaks around the latch area. I've seen other posts on DIY ideas to fix some of the noises so I'll try them and maybe I won't feel so disappointed with this car. Things I like about the car: it's looks, the nicer interior, it's bigger than the A3, it has a roomier trunk, and a more luxurious ride. Thinks I don't like: terrible fit and finish, the doors/trunk/hood don't feel as solid when opening/closing them, it's suprisingly not as quiet inside as the A3, and the manufacturer's warranty has expired. I know that the C300 is more similar to the A4, but I'm just comparing it to my Audi A3 experiences. The dealer changed all the fluids and installed new tires and brake pads so I don't have to worry about those maintenance costs for now. I tested the battery and unfortunately it needs to be replaced, but good thing that I am a roadside battery technician and I get a discount on new car batteries. Anyone have any thoughts on whether I should get an aftermarket warranty or any other issues that I might encounter with this car?

The warranty is added insurance. Make sure it covers all the major mechanicals. I know you wrote it was gently used but that is subject to interpretation. Good luck with the car and enjoy it rattles and all...
