My C400 is on the Conti Summer Tires on 19" wheels (all C400's are 4-Matic).

We had a ton of snow in Seattle the last few weeks so i was a little worried, but the car was very impressive driving through fairly deep snow/ice in places.

Never got stuck once and very little sliding around.

I had read the summer tires are awful in snow/ice/cold temps but this was not my experience.

What are others experiences in snow driving on Summer tires?

You can mostly thank 4matic. I usually stick to summer tires but I’m much further south than you. I do love 4matic in the rain although never been in the snow with it. Good to know

I've got the Conti RFTs on and the C400 was a mountain goat (even gave my Land Rover a run for its money up a slushy steep hill) - really impressed with the 4matic system...

Yes my gf has a Q5 and honestly felt my car was better powering through the snow. Very impressive!
