I got a map update. But to be honest, the 2015 C300 Mercedes Benz navigation implementation is the worst I've ever used and I just use my Google Maps on my phone.
Why must i enter the entire full destination address??
You got the 2014 model w205 and you just made the 2015 map update ?

Having just purchased a CPO 2016 C300 4Matic... advertised with 3 years complimentary COMAND navigation updates... I had to prove to the dealer that the 2015-2016 v6.0 wasn't the latest by getting MBUSA on the phone... and then the dealer acted like I'd told mommy and daddy they were misbehaving, they've turned into complete *******s.

So is there any way for me to update my 2015 maps without involving a dealer? Is there anyway I can purchase a map online and update myself? I do not want to pay $430 for a map update. Thanks
I have got a 2014 UK car with Garmin Maps circa 2015, to my surprise when I used Download Manager a few days ago it offered an upgrade to 20/21 maps and a software update. to v13 I think. I had to do it overnight but I now have the latest maps and software for free.

Did you go onto the Garmin website for download manager?

I also have a 2016 car that I purchased in January that still has the 2016 maps, not updated once during it's 3 year lease.
Search "Mercedes Download Manager", install on a PC and put your map sd card into a reader, be aware installation takes a good few hours especially if you back up the card first of all.
"Starting with the 2015 model year, drivers who purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle with the COMAND navigation system receive three years of FREE map updates. These complimentary map updates are valued at nearly $750."
I believe maps are only free under original warranty.
To see your current map version, switch to NAVIGATION, then:
I had my firmware updated this year and maps last year.
Just had my service B done on my 2018 c300 (have ver 12). In the loner 2020 c300, map version was 13.0. This is in Toronto, Canada btw. When I had the GLA, it clearly stated in the manual that map updates are free for the first 3 years. Dealer said that it was a misprint for Canadian owners and this only applied to US cars. Not sure if this applies to the C class as well.

If you're on COMAND, no - it has to be a dealer unfortunately
