Question Airbag malfunction code reset...

Hey guys, today I was changing a steering wheel trim cover and I followed the instructions of disconnecting the negative battery before removing the airbag so I can change the trim. In the middle of change I had to get into the trunk so I connected the battery (while the airbag was disconnected) and popped the trunk and disconnected the battery again.

After I was done and everything was put back together I saw the Left Front Malfunction message on the screen and figured it was when i popped the trunk.

Looks like I need to reset the code, but how can I do that? Can I do that without a scanner?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Any scanner that can communicate with the SRS module will be able to clear it.

Currently looking at scanners now, can't seem to find a cheap one that will work on a W205 and clear the airbag fault. Any suggestions by any chance?

Well, in case anyone else see's this post trying to reset their airbag fault code I bought a FOXWELL NT630 Plus scanner and just reset mine in 2 minutes. Works great out of the box, didn't need to update the scanner or anything.
