Steering wheel vibration when breaking
Hi,
I come here for information regarding an issue that I have encountered with my car. I have a CPO 2015 c300 4MATIC, I bought it exactly a year ago with 24k miles and today it has about 32k miles on it. I bought the extended warranty to the car just in case of any trouble in the future. Well when i got the car a reported that i was feeling a small vibration when breaking in the steering wheel, however, they told me that the technician was not able to replicate the issue so they did not do anything about it. Now, the vibration in the steering wheel when breaking is pretty noticeable and i wanted to know if you guys can help me about how to approach this situation with my dealership.
Thank you.

Just take it back again. If they can replicate it, they’ll fix it. Mercedes service, in my experience, is very good. You have to keep in mind that they will get paid for the work. It probably just didn’t occur when they drove it.

Im sure does aren't cover in the warrant right and its more likely to be expensive. Would it be better to do it somewhere else?

Brake disc and pad wear are not covered under the CPO warranty however, if you have a service report that puts a vibration claim at or near time of delivery 'in writing", you have a solid argument that the defect was in place at the time of delivery and therefore should have been picked-up during the 162 point CPO inspection. That being the case, if the dealership does not respond, I would go direct to Mercedes with your story and evidence. If you have no "at delivery" claim evidence, you might have to eat the cost of new front rotors and pads. May want to go to another dealer for that work if you have no confidence in your selling dealer. Good luck!
