Retrofitting Adaptive Cruise Control
Got my Australian spec C200 for half a year now and I just realized today that my car probably has all the hardware required for ACC. The car has front collision warning and in the assist menu, you can track the distance to the car in front of you.
I’m just wondering if there is a way to “activate” the ACC software without any hardware modification? I checked online and there doesn’t seem to be too much information on this topic - most retro installation involves installing the radar as well.

It would require very substantive modifications and would likely cost significantly more than just trading in your car and buying one with Distronic. The last vehicle generation in which it was possible to retrofit adaptive cruise was the mid-2000s models, specifically the W211 E-Class. Since then, the required retrofits have become infinitely more complex, sorry.
