BimmerGuru provides a simple software unlocking to enable video in motion on the w204. No need to install hardware. Takes less than 5 minutes and can be restored back to factory settings. Here's a video on how it's done:
The VIM function is only coding of 2 digits in the Comand Head- Unit (HU5). If you use Vediamo go for the HU5, section "Coding", then choose "VCD_Driver_Distraction_ECE_USA_CHN", click "Manual Coding" and change the 2nd byte position to 068. If you use DTS it should be 044. Done. Do not forget to reset the unit.

The only options I can found are: disabled / disabled 0km/h / disabled >5km/h.

In present moment it is hard to unlock the ECU. I tried some keys, but no success. Maybe I don't have a proper dll for my HU55.
In DTS Monaco I try to change the second byte manual, but there is no option to code it - the button greyed out with 068 in second byte.
My car is MY2019 (205 MOPF), there are differences with previous sub-model.

Yes, MoPf are different. You need to unlock the HU first, then you can code, but not any more with cbf files, use smrd instead.
To unlock you need to go to the ECU first (similar to the tree in Vediamo) on the left side in Monaco where you access to the ecus and use one of the security options. I don´t have a FL car so I can not show that part "live". In Vediamo there is a different value to be coded, it uses HEX instead of DEZ, so it should be "44".
