2019 custom build almost here, but what about 2020?

I placed my order in mid-March for my 2019 custom build C300. I just got an email from the dealer that my car will be here in a couple weeks, beginning of June. Starting to get thoughts that I should cancel it--so as to custom build a 2020 instead.

Reasons I would not cancel would be, (1) don't want to wait until September (or October?) for a new car, (2) each month I put about 1200 miles/mo. on my car, and the depreciation means I get that much less on the trade-in four months from now, (3) will not get as good of a discount as I did for the 2019 custom build, (4) feel bad about canceling on the dealership, they'd be stuck with my 2019 custom build, and they've been great to work with.

Reasons I would cancel would be, (1) it would be a 2020 car, (2) I somewhat regret not ordering leather with cooled seats. At the time I did not want to spend the extra $3,000, and in my climate the cooling would be used 3 months out of the year, but I am wondering maybe I should have gotten it. But it's not like I am unhappy with the build I ordered.

I'd appreciate any advice or feedback from this forum.

You answered your own question..

1) don't want to wait until September (or October?)

2) will not get as good of a discount as I did for the 2019 custom build - "from the same dealer"

Frankly.. at 1200 miles a month depending on your state you should consider leasing..

I ordered my car maybe 3 weeks later than you. It ended up being a 2020, and I'll be lucky to see it before the end of July. I also have no idea how much it will cost. I too would really like the cooled seats, but not at $3000 dollars. I added the rear window sunshade to my car to slightly make up for it. I think you made the right decision. Enjoy your car, sounds great. Also as far as I could tell there aren't many advantages to a 2020. The biggest changed seems to be they wrapped the dictionary length order guide into 4 packages, so it isn't quite as hard to get a well equipped car.

Thanks for that link....although it now has me confused...the ordering guide has two driver assistance packages and two Multi-media packages. Now that I see the description of the three zone climate control I'm wondering if I should have ordered it...seems it no longer has that scent thing that would take up glove box space.
