2020 W205 C300 Sedan Release Date?
Have a 2020 build date 3rd decade July...Vance plant in Alabama
What's the best guess release date (pick up in Chicago area)? Will it be completed but need to wait for new model year launch? End of August, beginning Sept?
Thanks!

You have all the right info... once it is completed at Vance - it will be held there until "2020's are formally released" - best estimate at this point is end-Aug/beg-Sept - when that release happens it will be released to shipper.
FYI - "about" 30-days before formal release MB will release the confirmed MSRP for the 2020 Base Model.. don't use that as a clock - but good to check with your dealer end-July if that MSRP has been released.
Keep the beat !

Spoke too soon - you have your MSRP now
I spoke too soon - actually MSRP's were released this past week.. so that part is ahead of schedule.. but 2020 model release "should be" end-Aug/beg-Sept.
I have attached the May 15th "updated" C300 non-AMG Dealer Order Guide w/MSRP - since at this point you can still make Order changes you should review your option choices.

Thanks fabbrisd1 for that guide! I had no idea how much my car cost. My C300 is due to be built in the last 10 days of June. Would it really be held in port until late August until I could pick it up? Also do you know why their are two driver assistance packages and two Multimedia packages? Makes me wonder if I have the right order codes for my car and what price it will actually be.

I thought of ordering C350e EQ model.. but according to this: https://mbzmaster.com/important-upda...-sedan-lineup/ MB just killed this model completely.. I haven't heard of any problems with any EQ Power models so far and I wonder what was the issue..

I did a quick review of the 2020 DOG when I read your note - yes - for 2020 our Vance factory has changed over to "new packaging codes" which in car speak is new option/manufacturing designations which actually are used at all other MB facilities world-wide.
Is there a specific problem that you see in the 2020 DOG ?
Let me know - thanks !

Good questions @bigbot45 . Now I’m unsure.
Drivers Assistance packages
DA2 priced at $1700 or Package 997 priced at $2250?
Multimedia packages
DA5 priced at $2350 or Package 320 priced at $2600?

DA2/$1700 - DA5/$2350 is the "correct" listing in the DOG - noted the detail sheets for both those are old/uncorrected. I have notified the Product Management Asst and I expect it will be corrected on the next revision

Thanks @fabbrisd1
Another question about this new guide- In the What's New on page 5 it says "Leather Seating Package (318) discontinued. Package components now available as separate standalone options (242 3 Stage Passenger Seat Memory with Adjustable Thigh Support and leather upholstery)".
In the Standalone Options pages 21-22, I see the 242 item but not the leather upholstery. Am I missing something?

I think you and I need to be involved the document review and approval process before they are released, 😝
In a previous version of the guide that I posted in a different thread, AMG models were included and listed leather as a $1620 option.
I've attached the previous 3/25/19 version of the ordering guide

Well I just spoke with my salesman. My build date is June 26th in South Africa. Salesman tells me though the dealer is expecting the car to be at the dealership by mid-August, but that is in no way assured. I'm a little frustrated as I ordered the car in early April, so this will be a 5 to 6 month wait for a C class.

If yours is a 2020 MY it'll probably need to wait until the new model year cars are officially released...
That could be end August/beginning of September? I don't think they even ship them until the release date. Anyone know?

Latest 2020 DOG
Attached is the 2020 DOG from May 29 - I have not checked for typo's.
Here in the US - production is held at VPC until official release of the 2020's - then what has been built gets shipped out to dealers.

With the constant threat of tariff's, I was under an assumption that MB would want to get every vehicle it can into the US as quickly as it can. Personally this is one of the concerns I have about the delivery delay...every day they wait is another chance tariff's might be applied.

If not maybe they need to rethink the logistics if a tariff deadline will hit while waiting for 2020 introduction.

Sorry - May 29 DOG 2020 C-Sedan & 2020 DOG C-Coupe
Sorry - the original May 29 Sedan DOG was too large of file for forum to take the upload - I optimized it so it to smaller file size - PTA
I have NOT checked for typo/2019 corrections.
Lets see if this works - and it didn't come from me..
