Mileage Club

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering what's everyone's mileage their car. specifically 2015 + w205 c300 4matic. I currently have 33,458 miles on my odometer. Just curious to know where everyone is at and the maintenaince that was done.

Maintenance - oil change only so far.

Warranty work for - wrist pins, and touch command.

PFA.

2015 C300 4Matic 49K I have a couple issues my rain sensor does not work so I can only turn on turn my wipers on regular and high no intermittent, when it is cold out like under 60 degrees when I start my car for the first 20 min or so the engine shakes the car very hard until it warms up and I have a sunroof issue I think I need the rails replaced but the car is not under factory warranty. Bought it used in February hope my extended warranty covers those issues. Other than that love the car! I replaced all the air filters engine and cabin and replaced the spark plugs getting an oil change next week. Man I love that lower splitter where did you get it? I need that for mine!

'15 C300 4Matic. Mine's at 50k miles. Maintenance has been routine including map updates. All done at dealership.

Car has been mostly trouble-free other than having the following warranty work:
  • Wrist Pin
  • Software update for Touch COMAND
  • Driver door hinge replaced
  • Acoustic glass installed
  • Aux Battery replaced
  • Portion of the glass pano roof replaced due to delaminating
  • Windshield replaced...dealer cracked it while replacing pano roof

2015 C300 with 45,000 miles!
  • Door LEDs (Driver's door twice and front passenger door. Rear doors are turning purple.)
  • Driver's backrest MB TEX cover (Premature wear)
  • Windshield cracked with no visible point of impact.
  • M-Brace stopped working, as did MB ME app. (Re-provisioned system and updated COMAND software)
  • Intermittent Keyless GO issue. Will sometimes not lock when lock sensor touched on driver's door. (Updated software for Keyless GO.)
  • TPMS sensor Driver's rear showed -- in menu (Replaced TPMS for wheel)
  • Wrist pin repair done at 42,000 miles
  • Rear control arms were found to be damaged due to improper towing by previous owner (Not covered by warranty, $750)
  • O-Ring connecting coolant hose to turbo cracked (Probably due to wrist pin repair, TBH)

Work that needs to be repaired:

I bought the splitter off of eBay. It's not a direct fit so it will require measuring and drilling but it's a piece of cake.

Any of you have issues with the fan control. 15 c300 4matic. It takes about 4-5 seconds for the fan to kick on after turning it on. Also - I feel as though my heater isn't blowing as hot.

These cars are so typical. I'm also had and need to have more suspension work done. Every time you fix one squeak another one rears it's ugly head. I'm getting the PCV Valve fixed in a couple of weeks. Part alone is $400 and requires 5 hours of shop time according to MB. RIP to all the door handle lights. Those suckers are $500 to fix out of warranty and will go to in a few seasons.

yea the PCV is in a ***** of a spot, gonna cost you around 1500-2000 just to repair/ replace the part!
damn door handle lights ive been putting off to repair, seems like a simple job i could do myself but i dont want to mess up the MB text and that sexy wood :P

we got rough roads here in CT so the suspension has been degrading far faster than i was hoping.. avoiding potholes can only go so well until you totally destroy a few of them haha

Gosh I'm so frustrated with pcv issue. It seems to be a common problem. You would think MB would address it by now. 😑

I’m at 110k and afraid to drive the car lol because I have no warranty, it was in the dealer several times for all sorts of weird stuff but only serious issue was with a clicking noise in the wheel and oh almost forgot the collusion thing that sent it into lip mode suddenly

2016 C300 4matic
2016 C300 sport 4MATIC here. 60,000 miles as of yesterday. My issues so far:
  • Weird stereo bugs since day 1 that never got fixed.
  • Transmission shifts absurdly hard from 3-4 gear at 20mph and 4-5 gear at 30mph.
  • PCV valve failure (happened last week, covered under extended warranty)
  • Battery died at 2.5 years old (happened around December of 2018, not covered under warranty)
  • Plastic handle for lifting up the trunk liner broke (replaced it myself 3 weeks ago)
  • Steering wheel column squeaks when moved (greased it myself)

Other than that the car is doing well. Still pulling 32-33mpg highway. I've done all the required maintenance with the dealer. I replaced the brake pads on my own to reduce the dust buildup but i've never had to replace the rotors.

They did. '19s come with a new engine. Let the past be the past.

What were your symptoms of the CV and ball joints? I have clicking when I turn (I think CV) and clunks/pops when I turn and go over a bump (haven't tried to figure out what that is yet)

Those are pretty much the symptoms for each.
