C300 Lost all audio, help?!?!

Guys,

I have a 15' C300 4Matic with the Burmester system, I believe the smaller screen. Have had zero issues with it until recently. A couple days ago I have totally lost any audio. Both USB, bluetooth, radio, cd. No sound what so ever. When i say no sound I mean no sound. Like no hissing, no muffled sounds. Just plain silence. Wonder what could have happened. Anyone ever have this issue?

The aux battery need to be replaced is all. You might have a failure with your aux battery but nothing too serious. Should not affect how the car runs, but a few entertainment items might be affected.

hi, did you fix the sound issue on your 300 ?
What was it ?
I have the same car with same Burmester. Already checked the Sirius module and Comfirt module in trunk. Still no luck.

Mine has done this several times over the last 4 years, all I do is turn the system off at the button next to the volume control on the centre console for a few seconds and then back on again, hope this works for you.
i have also had the auxiliary battery malfunction and replaced the voltage converter to fix this. If you are handy the voltage converter can be bought on line and fitted yourself. It takes about half an hour with detailed instructions on this site
Regards
Greg

i had to replace the amplifier. It was $700 that I replaced myself. The amp is mounted vertically next to the rear light in the trunk.
you will need to do a water test from the car roof and most likely your roof channel is leaking as that water is what killed the amp.that water drains right on top of the amp. So buy those rubber bushings from mb directly and replace as well if u do decide to change the amp.

Mine was the amplifier too, and was caused by water damage. Apparently a very common failure. My piece of black plastic trim that channels water around the trunk lid on the passenger side was leaking. It has three posts that go through to the trunk area holding it in place. They all have rubber bushings as mentioned above to prevent leaking. The first pin, from the top, was not even in the hole allowing water to drip directly on the amplifier. Fortunately for me I purchased a certified ore-owned, and they certified that there was no leaks. Whoops There was, and they covered it with an amplifier replacement. On mine, everything worked except sound. You could see the radio lock into a signal. You could see a satellite channel lock in. You could scroll and pick up new channels. You could play a CD. All with absolutely NO sound. By the way the dealer quoted me $1,500 to replace the amp. Yikes.
