2015 C300 Purchase/Warranty
Hey everyone.
I'm making my first car purchase which I hope to be a 2015 C300 with 48k miles. It's listed at 17k.
It's from a Chevy dealer, actually. Being my first car purchase and coming from a Saturn which hasn't had many issues whatsoever I have some very noobish questions. First of all, if I purchase this car from a Chevy dealer is it possible for me to go back to Benz and get a warranty put on? Are these year & models generally reliable? After research on german vehicles I plan on getting oil changed every 5 months/5k miles and just generally keeping better care of it than a typical car. I almost purchased an Audi a4 but they are known for their terrible CVT transmissions that they got rid of after 2016 so that took Audi out of the question completely for me.
If I do make this purchase, what can I expect my annual costs on repairs/maintenance to be? I've tried looking it up online but I feel that people are dramatic about these cars being complete money pits.

Honestly they're not being dramatic. It's all about whether or not it's worth it to you. I strongly suggest a warranty. I've owned my car for less than 2 years about spent close to three thousand for repairs and maintenance. The crankcase ventilation is a very common issue that occurs around 50K miles and costs $1500 to repair.

There was a long thread on here from a while back that had a list of MB dealerships that offered the best priced warranties. Try googling: mbworld w205 warranty. Just send them the VIN and they'll let you know if you qualify and the warranty options.
