Illuminated star on MB C180 RHD with AMG body kit
Greetings everyone, I just joined the MB world forum and very happy to be here. I bought my car brand new in May 2019. I was very interested in getting the Illuminated star and ordered it by mail from the United States: MB OEM and not aftermarket. Initially when I put in my VIN against the part at the Mercedes website it said that the illuminated star isn’t compatible with my car; the online retailer in the United States told me, however, that he had checked my Vin against this part and it should work. The local Mercedes-Benz dealer, there’s only one in the city, had never installed it before and is not very clued in into the installation process. it only flashes when I open the doors or lock/unlock the car. It doesn’t turn on when the engine is running and the lights are on. My question is, should or will it work with my car? if yes does anybody have any product literature explaining how to do it?
