C300 Coupe

Tinting scratches?

I just purchased a new 2019 C300 Coupe and called a reputable tint guy to get my car tinted, he told me that the new 2019 models wasn't really designed to have
tints and the window seal will eventually scratch the tinting.

Is this true? Anyone experienced this issue before?

Yes, this is partially true. Small particles of dirt tend to stay on the black rubber more than other cars. My friend has tiny vertical scratches on both front windows which is barely noticeable; ceramic tints by the way. My car doesn't have these scratches, but I barely installed my tints a couple weeks ago.
