Hi all,
I am a new member. first time owner of the Benz. I am buying used 2016 C300 4matic, Alloy Wheel, Leather Seat with 30K miles for 20K from Honda dealer. Its not Benz certified. But Honda said they did Service B. It has clean carfax. No warrenties left. Do you think its good deal? what is best/common passive security system used in Benz? Is that any system which is DIY?

Personally I don't think that's an awful deal but it also depends on what options you have in it. I don't know of any DIY security systems for our car but I could be wrong.

I just have the stock system. I don't think LoJack is necessarily worth it since you can just pull out your phone and locate your benz with the app if you subscribe to MBRACE. There may be systems out there but it seems like every time i've looked up starters and remote security there isn't anything compatible with our cars.

I paid 26k for a 2016 C300 with 26k miles back in August with 10 months left on the original factory warranty. So on the surface, without knowing what upgrades / options come with the car, it sounds like a reasonable if not a good deal. However, I would imagine that the lower price point has a lot to do with the fact that you have no warranties left and it is not a CPO vehicle which would have added another year of unlimited mileage limited warranty. Also as I mentioned earlier, not sure what options/features you have. My car came loaded with options except the one that seemed to make the biggest difference to me. So that being said, and I hope its not too late, make sure that the car comes with LED Headlights or you will soon regret it as some of us here without them have. You should know that Mercedes Mbrace comes standard for free for 5 years with all 2016 C 300 models so make sure you download the App and register your vehicle. Hope that helps.
