Strut Bolt is LOOSE

Hey guys! I was wondering if someone could help me on this. I was working on the suspension of my w205 c300 sedan and I dropped the strut and it fell on the strut bolt. Now it slightly wiggles back and forth (not side to side) and I am kind of worried about putting it back onto the car. It feels sturdy but it definitely is a bit loose when compared to the other two strut bolts. What should I do? Are these strut bolts welded onto the mount? I can’t tell. Here are some pictures. Angry

Here is a link to a video of it.

If it spins then you have an issue, because you won't get the nut to properly seat. Side to side is okay provided you can tighten the nut. Throw the nut on and check while you have it out. If it tightens up then you're good to go. If you have slop then you'll probably need to repair it or drill the mount so you can access the bolt head to ensure it's tightened, or depending on how the bolt is held captive in the mount you may need to go get a new bolt, washer, etc. Not the end of the world but it's more work and you'll probably need a friend depending on access.

thanks for your help! I’m pretty sure the bolt is just pressed in there and I put on the nut and it didn’t spin... so far. I’m going to try and install the strut later today but does anyone have any torque values for the 3 strut bolts? I’ve tried looking everywhere and I can’t find it for this car (w205 c300 rear wheel sedan). I found a video on YouTube from Mercedes but it was a w205 airmatic and they used 45 lbs of torque. Does this seem right? Sounds a bit high to me.

maybe try reseating it using the same method you do wheel studs - seems similar
