Hi.

I have the 7" or 8" screen with Comand in my 2017 C350e W205 and was wondering if I can install the 10" screen easily as plug and play?
I've seen loads of post about Android and CarPlay etc. but I'm not interested in that, I would just like exactly what I have now but in a larger screen.

There are but I can't fine one that answers my question, they either don't say if it's a straight switch or they mention android.

 

EASY is based on your DIY experience. There are several complete install videos on YouTube and here.

Installation requires you to remove your center console and head unit.

Are you comfortable with doing that? Then its really EASY.

 

I believe what you're looking for is a larger stock screen. Do the 2019/2020 models come with one or offer as an upgrade option? That would likely be the only way to have a quick (2 screws + 2 plugs) swap; this also assumes the plug configuration hasnt changed as well. I'd guess they're pretty expensive to come by too, maybe call a dealer?

 

I am not sure the oem 2019 screen will work on your car. And if it worked it will be very expensive. I recommend you make a search on Ali Express for aftermarket screen. I bought an aftermarket 10.25" screen. It works just fine good screen resolution. Multimedia ect... My car is C200 2015.

Ok, so including Android and what not, is there a 10" screen that will just plug and play? ie. 2 screws and 2 wiring clips and job done?

 

In theory yes. The screen will be supplied with bunch of cables. If you are good in DIY then go for it. Sellers usually provide some guidance.
