Rubber Seal Conditioner/lube
Does anyone have any recommendations on a rubber seal conditioner/lube? My sunroof and rear doors seem to be creaking in my C450. Thanks in advance!

Gummi Pflege seemed to work for me. I’m not a fan of the application style but It does the job.

Thank you! I read about this in another forum. I saw some reviews on amazon saying that the seals started to leak after applying this product. Do you have a panorama moon roof on your car?

If it's creaking, also try Mercedes Sliding compound / Krytox. Permanent solution and safe for rubber seals / surfaces

You bet A0009893560 (dealers should stock it)

It's not cheap, but you will never need another bottle - a few drops go a long way (and wear gloves!)

Gummi Pfledge works great..... most folks I know pickup a tube of the Honda product. you use a vinyl glove to work it into the seals...

Gummi pfledge comes in two types a stick much like a deodorant or in liquid form with a sponge on the top of the bottle.
The liquid type is much easier to use.

Diaelectric grease is a type of silicone - sure a tube/can is under $10 - but frankly in silicone I would recommend speding $5-$6 more for the Honda Japanese made silicone designed specifically for door/sunroof seals..

I ended up buying the gummi pfledge. If it doesn't work for the creaks I will try one of the other products suggested. Anyways, I can use the gummi pfledge to recondition the 31 year old door seals on my 1989 300se.

A good piece of advice was given here a few months ago. Don't open your sunroof in the deep midwinter, unless you are where it's warm.

The Honda silicone grease is very good. Learned about it in our Plymouth Prowler group and have been using it with great success. Available on line thru Amazon.

I saw in one WIS instruction, MB had a official / recommended lubricant for rubber used inside the engine compartment, the item was part number 000-989-03-67 "Sliding Fluid - Mercedes-Benz".
For everyone's information MB published a document titled: "Mercedes-Benz Genuine Chemical Products" Product information for aids, operating fluids, accident and body repair - 66 pages, a PDF copy at :
