Burmester Buzz/Distortion after Facelift

Burmester Buzz/Distortion after Facelift
I owned a 2017 C class and now I am in the 2020 C class. with the same Burmester speaker system.
The 2020 one, after the facelift, not sure if they "upgraded" the parts that are used in the speakers. Now it's buzzing in some of the songs - like really bad.
I have compared with other 2017 models (with Burmester) in the lot and even 2020 C class (without Burmester), and other MB cars with Harmon Kardon, none has the buzzing sound.
I took it to the dealership for 3 times now, each time took a week but nothing was done to the speaker. The foreman went out and tested it with me, and he acknowledged that there were buzzing from each speaker (the twitters were bad), but still they did not replace anything saying other cars had the same issue. I specifically asked them not to find any excuses and and I wanted to test in other cars just to make sure my car got fixed.
Anyone knows if the parts were different than the before facelift models? It seems weird that a new car has speakers that are all blown - but could be bad batch...

yes, I am going to switch to my original dealer for next service. I asked a foreman to come out and verify the issue which he did and acknowledged the issue, but still no fix. My 2015 had tons of issues, then 2017 was kind of great, then it's 2020, half of time it's in the shop - 2 months of ownership...
The agility control wasn't working intermittently, windshield sprayer wasn't installed properly, rear bumper was fallen off at delivery, humming noise from AC, burmester buzzing, electronic trunk not latching properly. some others as well...

I dont agree that 2015 have tons of issues. I have a C200 AMG line 2015. 2 issues in 2 years: Auxillary Battery Mulfunction and sun roof not closing. I replaced the Auxiliary Battery and fixed the sunroof. I have the Audio 2O. I upgraded it by adding an amplifier, subwoof, and 10.25 multimedia screen. Its not the best but its ok. I believe the previous owner added twiters.

I recently got a 2020 GLC with the Burmester speaker system. Absolutely no buzz from any of the speakers, even with the volume high. Keep putting pressure on your dealer until they solve the issue. It is NOT a known issue that I know of.

I basically removed the old screen and installed this 10.25 screen. It has plenty of application in it. Youtube, android connect, car play ect... No firmware upgrade its basically a plug and play system.

I agree completely, MB has a very precise way to fix this. Mine went from sounding like a can full of nickels to whisper quiet.

Hi,
Any fix to this issue? i recently bought a C43 -19 and experience the same issue as you describe. Buzz/distortion at specific Hz, and songs. it gets way worse using bluetooth, than apple Carplay, but its still really annoying when using carplay.

I had to take mine to the dealer where they ended up replacing the small speaker and they also had to do a firmware update on the sound system itself so it can handle the audio better. That fixed the problem, I hope you got warranty left or can get extended warranty. They had my car for almost a week.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, i got warranty left on my car, so i will definately have my car looked at.
So, they ended up fixing both the tweeters, and the firmware? Do you know if the tweeters was necessary or just a way to find the firmware issue?
And thanks again for your quick reply!
