My actual range is not correct any way to reset ?
Hi
my actual range isnt correct displayed.
my tank is filled for 1\2 full and only showing a range of 84km left instead of +- 300km . Is there a way to reset this and let it calculate again ? The last few weeks I didn’t fill my tank to 100% but i guess this can’t be the issue..
Any one knows how its recalculate again ?
i already removed the fuse of the instrument cluster number 208 and removed the battery for 20minutes but after reinstall the battery it still gives the last saved range so it doesn’t reset either.

The range is purely a guesstimate based on your most recent driving. I don't know exactly how far back it looks, but it's somewhere between 20-50 miles of driving and your average consumption over those miles. If you've recently been driving in a high consumption manner, then the predicated range will drop until it sees your consumption going down.

Hi, the picture says 84km range left this is converted from km to miles 54 this must be about minimal of 186miles left.=300kmh
my last 130kmh of driving averange consumption was 10L/100km
so my car must say 300km left instead of 84kmh
60L petroltank 1/2 filled = 30 litres full inside

I would recommend you fill the tank up and make a note of how many km the car has so far. Then drive around until you have about 1/4 tank left and note how many kms you have driven on 3/4 and fill up. Take the amount of fuel it takes to fill the tank again and calculate the actual average consumption yourself using the amount of fuel burned and the kms driven to see if they match what the board computer says. I would expect the range to adjust as you drive. It won't go negative. Your actual manually calculated consumption will tell you if there's perhaps an issue with your engine.

Your range is totally dependent on your driving style, so those numbers are kind of fictive. Only time it's useful is when you are on a long journey on the highway, then it might be fairly reliable.
Since I hate to visit the gas station I have learnt exactly how many liters are left when the fuel warning light comes up, then I learnt when the fuel light stops flashing (= no more gas left) I can still go around 20 km more (MB C220 Diesel) ... my wife HATES that behaviour from me LOL
