Steering wheel knock
Hi hope some one could help me out.. two weeks ago I've noticed a slight but noticeable knock while turning the steering wheel.. it's coming from the steering column it self. Does it at stand still and while driving.. there's no play or movement when I pull on the steering . Maybe it could be something else..

any help would be appreciated.

I had the same situation, it’s the airbag bracket in the steering wheel. Needs to be readjusted. Check the dealer. I had to go to three dealerships, the first two said it was normal. So just tell them to check the airbag!

When you guys are referring to a knock, is it a slight resistance/bumping feeling when you turn the wheel?
If I slowly turn my wheel to the left, I can feel three/four little knocks. Want to make sure I’m following the right thread!

In my situation, it would knock when I turn left to right! I would check the airbag bracket first!

I remember there was some kind of steering bolt recall service campaign recently. Hopefully it has nothing to do with that.

My bad... spoke to mercedes today and I have two outstanding recalls on my w205 so will get them to sort this out when I take it into them..
