Question C300 with smaller tires?

Would it be possible to run 225/40-R18 on a square set up rather than the OEM size 225/45-R18 and 245/40-R18. I've checked the rolling diameter and it is 25.1" compared to the OEM's 26" and 25.7"
Does the 4matic system allow the -3.5% in rolling diameter of all the wheels? I've done a bit of research on multiple forums regarding the difference rolling diameter tolerance between the front and rear but nothing really on smaller tires.

stock 18" AMG wheel sizes:
Front (7.5" Wide): 225/45-18 - 26" Diameter
Rear (8.5" Wide): 245/40-18 - 25.7" Diameter

Square 18" Wheel size:
Front & Rear (8.0" Wide): 225/40-18 - 25.1" Diameter

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance!

A smaller tire will show your speed as higher than actual, same with miles traveled. What is the reason to go to a shorter small tire? Just use the 225/45 all around, that's what a non-sport car without the staggered wheel option runs.

4matic doesn't care what size they are as long as they are all the same/within 3%.

I bought some aftermarket 18 inch wheels for a good price but they already had new Ingens A1 all season tires 225/40-R18 on them. Thats why I was wondering if I could just run them for now until grab newer tires.

Update: tried them on and didn't have any issues.
Thank you for the replies
