Hi all,

Drove back home today switched the engine off as usual, had to go to the supermarket after an hour, so sat in the car and started the engine, was welcomed by an unusual error message of light malfunction and a flashing parking brake “P” light, couldnt release the electric parking brake so I tried to drive away in the hope that the parking brake would automatically disengage but the car wouldn't move at all!
This is a new 2020 C180 with 7k on the clock!
Can anyone please let me know what the problem is and how to release the parking brake!

Quickly call the dealer as there must be an emergency manual brake release!

Since your car is brand new and under warranty, call the dealer. Afterwards, take it in to get checked out.
