This engine Sounds normally? c180 1.6 STG1

 

Vlad, is that a cold start or has your car been running. If so, it does sound a bit loud. My car sort of sounds like that for a few minutes when I start her up after a cold night. I too thought the sound was too loud. It subsides quite a bit after the car is warmed up. But your car sounds a bit louder. I don't think its the dreaded wrist pin sound that some of the earlier w205 were plagued with. That being said, I'm sorry mate, not sure if its normal or not but it does sound loud especially with the hood open like that. Dealer looked at my car and said it was normal. who knows !!!

 

I have 2015 Mercedes C300. Have similar noise when cold start. And it also appears when driving only when the turbo does not kick in. Meaning only when u pressing the gas smothly and not pushing it.
i also had the wrist pins repair done from my local MB DEALER
took it to the dealer twice And they said it’s normal? Wtf doesn’t not sound normal. They said it’s the turbo actuator flap or somthing rattled when cold and goes away when fully warmed up. I didn’t not have this problem before the wrist pin issue. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAD ANY NEW INFO OR FOUND THE ISSUE. It’s so Embarrassing To have a nice car that makes noise coming from 1980 carsSMH

 

frankly, that sounds normal. would be good to put the original engine cover on, it does help a little with some sound insulation
