I think that your problem arises when you say "you switch the a/c on" My car is 6 years old and I have the a/c on everyday and it has never been regassed and is still ice cold. I adjust the temperature according to the weather. If you are someone who thinks a/c is just for when it's hot you are wrong. Keeping it on all the time keeps the system in good order and avoids leaking gas and odours.

Your car is covered by the HVAC class action settlement. Even out of warranty they'll cover at least half as long as you're under a certain mileage. Take it to the dealership. This service includes a new filter.

If you know how to read correctly (obviously you don't), I did not say I did not want to change the filter, it just looks like a pain to do so. If you read another reply to my post, they had the cabin air filter replaced but did not help.
If you cannot offer helpful advice you have NO reason to offer your smart attitude to others! You are the ONLY one I have encountered that does that. Get a life!!
