Default iPhone audio app
Hi all,
Hope someone can help.
I have just purchased a used 2015 W205 and it has the Audio 20 system.
I can connect my iPhone via USB and play music via the Media section.
I can manually switch to Spotify and this plays nicely.
However, every time I switch to Media (from Radio, or from the other USB for instance) it defaults to playing my first playlist set up in Apples Music app which I no longer use.
Is there any way to make it default to playing Spotify?
I have read various posts on here about retro-fitting Apple CarPlay but I'm not sure exactly what my options are there.
My car has 522 AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION CAPABLE NTG5 but not 154 or 14U or 15U (confusing between posts!)

Hi, this is an iOS issue, not a Merc issue. There are some workarounds (none of which are perfect) - https://osxdaily.com/2017/07/29/stop...car-bluetooth/

Yeah, none of those are great
I have just found a retrofit CarPlay system for £475 so I may just get that

the bane of modern cars! I miss being able to rip out the factory head unit, replace it with a nice aftermarket one with the functions I want. Can't do that with all the vehicle functions now integrated with the "infotainment"
