Prepaid Maintenance Option Length

I am looking to lease a new C-Class Mercedes under a 3-year, 30,000 mile lease when my current lease expires. I currently have a C-Class Mercedes which the dealer, at the time of sale, sold me and capitalized a 3-service prepaid maintenance plan for my 3-year, 30,000 mile vehicle lease. The question I have is that if I get a 3-year, 30,000 mile lease, do I need (or am I required) to get a 3-service plan? I would want the dealer to do the service but my thinking is that if service is due every 10,000 miles or 1-year, would a 2-service plan be sufficient if that the car is turned-in at the 3-year point with 30,000 miles on it? With a 3-year plan, like I currently was sold, it seems that I'm paying for a service for the next owner (covering time period of 30K-40K miles). What did you do if you have a similar lease period circumstance, buy a 2 or 3 maintenance service plan?

Just do 2 oil change and stretch the length to say every 13 or 14th month so last one falls on 8th or 10th month before returning the lease. And go-to indy for oil changes unless dealer charges same.

Don’t know about MB, but Porsche lists required service intervals as both time-based and mileage (1 year or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first). This means a third year service is due when the car is 3 years old, regardless of mileage.

In addition, Porsche required any maintenance due within six months of the end of a lease to be performed. This meant that if I had decided to return my car in 2 years, seven months, I still had to have the 3 year service performed before exiting the lease.

i don’t have my owner’s manual nearby , but I’ll bet MB is similar.

I bought a C300 a few weeks ago and was told that the service is time and mileage based. I was hoping to go a little longer between services due to the low mileage I'll be putting on it, but it has to go at least once a year regardless.

A gaggle of MB's
"Most" customers that get a 3yr/30K lease - if you know you won't be going over mileage - get 2yr/20K - and then smart customers move up to their next Mercedes 6mo early (by time)..

Smart question - you will make a great long term Mercedes customer.
