Subwoofer and speakers upgrade setup
Subwoofer/amp: JBL GT-BassPro12 (12" sub with 150-watt amp). Low pass around 60hZ, bass boost at 0dB, gain/level a quarter turn, and phase at 0. Remote control under steering wheel set to 25%. Cost was $299.
Line out converter: PAC SNI-35. Cost was $30.
Power kit: Rockford Fosgate 8 AWG Amplifier Install Kit. Cost was $90.
Front doors component speakers: Match UP C42MB-FRT (4" speakers). Tweeter set at -3dB. Equalizer set to 9 treble, 9 midtones, 1 bass. Cost was $200. Didn't want to upgrade other speakers.
Shop labor, materials and tax: $480
Optional: Burmester ebay grilles for door speakers, center speaker, and tweeters: $70
Total: $1,100 for a sound system I'm pleased with!
Estimate: Shop gave me a $1,200 estimate to sound deaden the trunk, rear seats, and floor. Told that the doors are apparently sealed and unable to be soundproofed. Anyone have experience with that?
