I’m looking at picking up a used 2020, and it’s close to a spec I would’ve ordered, just missing the ambient lighting. I had a 2014 E350 and quickly fell in love with the ambient lighting. So did anyone who skipped out on it regret it? If anyone can post night pics without it that would be greatly appreciated. I know to some people this is a pretty ridiculous heartache but there’s some people who love such simple things like ambient lighting.

Not exactly what your asking, but It's possible to retro fit oem-style ambient lights in the vehicle!

I had a loaner 2019 C300 with no ambient lighting. The seat controls and steering wheel had a lovely orange color behind them. It was something, at least.

True I guess I can always retrofit it, I think I’m going to pull the trigger, at least it’s got some orange lighting.

I have a 2019 without ambient lighting. It was omitted from my factory order. I was really disappointed and pissed. I wound up installing it myself only around my console. Installing in the doors and coding was more than I wanted to do. It was a cheap and easy install and looks good. Not what I really wanted, but better than nothing all.

That’s actually kind of a smart idea, saves the hassle of all the doors. Is it just one color?

It is one color, I chose orange since it matches the lights in the doors.

If you have "used 2020" money, why not just look for one with Ambient Light? Save yourself the hassle.

I’m on a time crunch, but there were a few with it, but were missing the sport package which meant more to me. Compromise compromise, I’ll “splurge” and spend 50 bucks to do the center console . Going to check it out tomorrow, hopefully all goes well, was waiting to make sure I could get the deal I wanted before making the 100 mile trip up.

Scroll down the webpage to see the orange version. Also note that it comes with a plug to connect to the wiring harness under the console, so no wire cutting needed to install. After I installed mine, I found it to be too bright, so I wired in a small LED dimmer that can be adjusted from inside of the storage compartment in the console.

Just adding on, I picked up the car today, it actually has decent interior lighting, I owned a 2015 a few years back which was also missing the ambient lighting and it didn’t have any of the orange lighting in the door handles that my 2020 has. Also the build quality has vastly improved and overall the car just feels better.

By the way, my 2016 c300 didn't come with ambient lighting. I recently completed my last install of a kit from DMP. Well worth the money. My kit (purchased separately) includes the center console, all four doors, footwells, vents, 3d rotating tweeters (my fav) front trim piece and rear seat strip. lol yes I love ambient lighting as you can see. I highly recommend this kit. Works beautifully so far,. Install videos are available on youtube just look up flexx alexander. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any. I can also post some pics of my install if you're interested.

2020 Mercedes Benz C300 Ambient Lighting is standard in USA. If you are in USA that car is not a 2020.

it’s a 2020, ambient was standard on the C43, but was apart of the premium package for the c300. And my car doesn’t have it.

That is correct you have to have premium package. You can add ambient Light to car works with factory control knob, plug and play no cutting wires, works just like factory system,. DMP Car Design, web page https://www.dmpcardes********

I’ll look into it, going to buy something in a few weeks. I’m a sucker for ambient lighting, but I don’t know if I can justify a few hundred bucks for it. I think I’ll probably go the route of just the center console for about 50. Will let you guys know though when I purchase it in the next coming weeks. I’ll also post pics of the car when I clean it up, she’s filthy from sitting outside.
