Hi, I have a 2020 C Class 200 SE and I cannot get Apple CarPlay to work on it. In fact I can’t even find it! I have plugged my phone to the USB etc.. but nothing happens. I can stream music but the CarPlay does not appear. Does this need to be purchased via Mercedes.me? I have looked on there and the only app it says is compatible is for vehicle theft tracking so am completely lost.
Should be there as standard on the 2020 model. Have you checked your VIN to see if its listed ? https://www.vindecoder.net
Sorry should’ve said late 2019 although I don’t think that makes a difference? Tried the VIN check but it came back as a 2002! Yes strange as I thought it should be standard as well
Hi, there aren’t any in front of the cup holder. Just the two in the armrest compartment. I have tried both although the one nearest the driver is the dedicated one with e phone/iPad symbol next to it.
I have limited experience. Just purchased a 2021 C300 with the NFT wireless charging option in the US. I have three usb ports. The dealer rep told me the one in front of the cupholders near the charging pad is the only one that supports Apple Carplay. The two the the console only allow for music and some data streaming.

@matt.jessop offered to check your VIN - did the list include option 16U Apple CarPlay Smartphone Integration (and 17U Android Auto Smartphone Integration)?
Do you see CarPlay list in the Connect menu in the multimedia? (Assuming that you have COMAND version NTG5.5.) Not being funny, but you do know that you have to configure CarPlay under Connect, as well as choose to make CarPlay start automatically when the iPhone is connected....?
OP, CarPlay and Android Auto are not standard in all markets. It looks like you are located in Great Britain? I don't know what the SE model is, but I went to the configurator on the UK website for a C200 and the Smartphone integration package is an option that has to be configured. It's without extra charge, but it requires the Premium package. Always helps to clearly state where you are located as options vary from market to market. If you don't have the following options, then you don't have CarPlay.
Try a long press of the voice activation switch on the steering wheel - you may find Siri will work. In my experience it is best to keep holding after the beep while you issue your command, then release. Subsequent dialogue with Siri relating to that command will not require holding down the switch. Long press again to initiate next command.
