Hi All,

I just traded in my 2015 GLK for a 2018 C300 4Matic. So far I'm loving the difference in ride in comparison. I am a little weary of a few things if you all could help me ease my mind.

- Panoramic roof - I have been hearing a lot of horror stories of the W205 Pano roof. Were these sorted in the 2018 model or still an ongoing issue? I see the 2019 has a regular sunroof and am guessing they just stopped trying with that design?

- Trim - I have a few more creaks and squeaks than the GLK which was rock solid in this aspect. Am I to suspect the finish of this car will not be as solid as the build of the GLK?

Thats it for now. Thank you in advance.

Panoramic roofs have been made for years (by Webasto) and are still being made for virtually all models of MB and for many other car manufacturers as well. I think that a large plane of glass is always going to be more problematic down the line than a smaller one. Personally, I wouldn't get a car without one. I like the look and open feeling of the glass roof.

No clue on the GLK vs C comparison.

Congratulations on your new buy. I wish you could share a picture of it. I had an issue with my roof rack but at no fault to Mercedes a small stone stuck and broke it. Dont worry about C vs GLK all Mercedes are good cars.

Updated with Pic. I hear what you're saying. My GLK was pretty rock solid. I put 80k on it and only replaced an ignition coil, tires, aux battery, brakes.
Thats what made me stick with MB. My commute changed to 100 round trip and I'm getting 36 MPG in the C class. I love the 9-speed transmission. And obviously the Brown on tan color combo grabbed me and made me write a check pronto. I have been reading a lot of horror stories about that pano roof ( even on this site) and just the look of that glass hanging off the back when it's open sometimes makes me question the integrity of those designs. The GLK's pano laid flat on top of each other and didnt hang off.

Beautiful color combo. Well chosen.

I have a 2019 with Pano roof - not sure where you heard they no longer make - it's an option not standard...

I thought i saw that the pictures of the 19's didn't have the full panel glass and a traditional style sunroof.
