High Mileage W205s? What's your W205 mileage?
Hi All,
I looked through the threads, but didn't see any threads about mileage and it's something that always interested me. In some of my other forums I've always seen a thread like this so thought I would start one. If there is one and I just missed it, Mods please feel free to delete this.
If you'd like to participate, please note your year, model, mileage, and location!
I can start off. It's not a high mileage, but I just picked up a 2018 C300 (turbo 4 engine) with 35000 miles and am in NJ, USA.

147,645 as of April 1st, haven't checked lately but it's probably at 148,000. 2016 C300 4matic. It's been an awesome car. I am still on my original brake pads. The rear tires wearing are the biggest issue I have, they wear on the edges and make a sound at about 20,000 miles. I also have noticed the fuel smell problem people have discussed, only when it's cold outside. I need to replace the hose clamps on the fuel lines and I should be good. Changed the oil and filter myself every 10,000 miles. Changed the spark plugs, air filter once. Had the dealer change the transmission fluid and filter once for $500, had the local independent change the fluid and filter once for $225. It's paid for so I may just try to drive it until the wheels fall off. Doubt I could get a lot for it since it doesn't have Mercedes Benz documented service and has high mileage.

OP asks for "high mileage" cars...people posting with 24k, 14k, 56k, miles. I guess I'll throw mine in: 2020 with 9,000 miles.
But seriously...we need some 100k plus people.

I appreciate the responses so far, but was leaning towards high mileage numbers, but that's okay! Haha. Just for fun I looked on autotrader around here for 'high mileage cars and there are quite a few going strong it looks like!
On the forums a lot of time we hear about problems, and I like to hear about some of the good things and how far these cars can go!

Anyone else with high mileage specifically on m274 engine? I’ve got the hybrid, so maybe a little more complex, but charging system warranty should get me to 100k without massive expense. I too smell fuel in the engine compartment by driver side windshield, so will take to dealer in a couple weeks.

I'm at 79,000km on my 2016 C450 With no issues and running like new
I'm interested in seeing if anyone has any 2015 or 2016 W205's over 150k or 200k km

2017 c300 4matic turbo 4 sport (AMG line) sedan, NYC/ USA at 52,000 miles and still going strong. This car was fabricated in the dreaded Alabama plant. Had the fuel line and aux battery replaced during last winter. Prior to that, the two front struts were replaced due to being noisy. All of the aforementioned was done under warranty.
The car has run beautifully and has thus far been nothing but reliable. Gas mileage is great and maintenance is not that expensive; however, if you choose the sport package/ AMG line suspension and live in a place with less than perfect roads (NY or MI for example), you have to ditch the run-flats! Run-flat tires in combination with the sport suspension on bumpy roads can be a bit harsh as well as loud on this otherwise very quiet car; so much that it erodes the utility of having the run-flats. The down side is obviously that the trunk (boot for you UK folks) doesn’t have enough room for a spare tire, and should you ever get a flat, you are waiting on the side of the road until a tow truck arrives (only a flatbed if you have the 4matic option).
The biggest issue that seems to be plaguing the w205 is the cracked piston/blown wrist pin issue for which there are several threads posted on this forum. From what I can tell, that issue seems to be linked to irregular oil changes and/or using low-grade gasoline (read 87/88).

2015 C300 4Matic AMG Package
bought the car with 53k miles in october 2018
she now has 115k miles, sitting pretty as i bought another daily driver 🤣
the breaks & rotors live forever on these cars, i’ve only done them once (i wanted, not needed) and they look as if i did them yesterday (i did them over a year ago)
just over 20k miles a year, no complaints really..
weirdest thing to happen/stop working was my SAT radio receiver
(under the trunk floor to the right if you’re standing at your trunk) -
got one at a yard for $100 plugged & played.

My wife's car has around 93,000 Miles. Owned since it had 2,700 miles on it. No MAJOR issues. Had the little capacitor/battery thing in the dash go bad, weeping cam timing cover, one bad guibo. As someone else mentioned, rear tires/breaks go bad much faster than the fronts.
Mine is just under 45,000. Bought it in January with 42,000 on the clock. It's pretty flawless.
Both are 2015 C400s.

the bi-turbo puts more stress on components? .e.g. spark plugs require change more frequently from what I've read...

Nothing wrong with spirit driving! These cars are meant to be driven. I'm at 147K miles and still have original water pump. I'm still on a naturally aspirated car. Is it fair to say

yeh i’ve read that turbo cars, especially these w205 c300 run hot, they do take about 7.5 quarts of oil- these are single turbo 4 cyl engines.
more stress in a sense of more heat, for sure.
but almost 4 years of ownership and the transmission and engine have been bulletproof. as long as you stay on top of oil changes and repairs it’s just like any other car

I did see Flexx Alexander on his YouTube channel upgrade some parts (C300) to make it run cooler and for small gains.

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
Agree with as mentioned previously and on top of that, the general consensus is, more cylinder and less power means less stress results in better reliability and stability. As well as people like to pick 2.0L over 1.5L of the same engine, as there is also less stress for the 2.0L engine compared to 1.5L for example.
