Netboy gave his opinion and we should respect his opinion if he decided to keep his badge that doesn't make him a badge ***** or an insecure person. Each to his own.

While I'm glad you're both buddies and like to vouch for one another, at no point did I direct the label ***** comment towards anyone specifically Yes, ' to each his own'. I am merely trying to understand one's position in regards to removing labels and the detriment that comes with it.
Being ashamed has nothing to do with it netboy. As stated, to each his own.
I guess you look down on most Europeans for removing badges on a car?
Do you both parade around showing how proud you are of designer labels and you can 'afford' to waste money on fancy duds? Again, just an opinion and to each their own right? And I'll ask AGAIN? DO you think less of those who do remove labels?

Oooo, more Badge Wheel of Fortune!!! LOL

To the anti-debadgers, I'm sure this serves as proof that if you debadge your vehicle, it will cause it to self-destruct and force you to buy a new one. :p

I'm digging the button labels. Now I'm curious what the "L" stands for. Lexus? Lincoln? Or more wishful thinking ... Lamborghini or Lotus?

Googling "GEEE 5500" is also a bit humorous.

why you get offended when someone give their opinion? LOL

I'd respect you more for removing the label and not trying to bolster your ego. Wonder why suits don't have the labels on the outside?

Why do you showcase some of the options in your 'AMG'?

The debadging debate has been going on for as long as I've been on auto forums (starting in 1998). Some like the clean, de-cluttered look and some don't or don't even care. It's all cool and matters the most to the OWNER of the vehicle.

If you are fan of branding, where does it end? Mercedes includes many parts from well-known brands, such as Bosch, NKG, Mann, etc. Should our cars be plastered with all of these brand names also, similar to a racing car? Because we don't have "BOSCH" on our trunks, we are ashamed of Bosch? I have trouble following the logic.

Some may not know, but you can order a Mercedes without the model designation badges from the factory. So does this make Mercedes wrong also? I've been traveling to Germany regularly for many years and see a lot of Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Audi, etc. without badges. I can rightly assume many of these came from the factory configured this way.

If you like the clean, debadged look, you can keep liking it. If you don't like it, you can keep not liking it. Until you are making the payments on the vehicle, it's not your choice.

Not sure where you got this info. Debadging cars here is pretty rare....hardly ever see it and its certainly not even close to "most Europeans".

I'm on the fence about badge removal....It can make a car look clean..but It can also make a car look plain. Personally I've never removed badges from my Mercs....or any other marque. I certainly wont be taking them off my C63 when I get it. I want everyone to know that I run an AMG with a NA V8 as its a pretty rare thing here with fuel at around $7.03 per US gallon!!

Hi Guys!

I appreciate the debate, but I did not want to cause any argument. Everyone do whatever they like.
And I personally hold it with "If I don't have anything positive to say, I just don't say anything at all." But that's just me.

I just wanted to show you a quick before&after comparison, and I appreciate all your comments. The more civilized they are, the more!

And, yes, and I'll keep the MB Wheel of Fortune going.

Also:

1) Interestingly, I am from (continental) Europe and all my/our cars have always been debadged. It's just different over there. Not better, not worse ... it's just a thing. UK may be different.

2) The "L" stands for "Laredo", as in Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I opted for "Lamborghini" or "Lotus", but it's our son's car and the wife had some objections regarding the sports car. Junior would have supported your idea, though...

The UK is hardly 'Europe'. You're on a tiny island mate haha! Lets not even consider Brexit huh?

We are part of Europe....saying we are not part of Europe because we are an island is like saying Hawaii is not part of the USA!.....its a geographical thing and nothing to do with the EU....which was purely a trade/financial arrangement that we are no longer parts of......the biggest mistake this country has made in my lifetime. You may have guessed that I voted to remain!!

YOu are spot on! Hawaii shouldn't be a part of the USA. It was in 1959 that the US decided we'd like to keep it as an outpost. I also agree with you about Brexit although my opinion matters for ^%$# in this regard And yes, many European countries outside of the "United" Kingdom (pretty sure the Irish and the Scots never wanted to be under the Queen) remove the badges from their cars

I was raised with this moral also. I can't say I don't break the rule sometimes, but I agree!

Cool, Laredo's are nice.

LOL, I know my wife keeps things grounded for me (which I appreciate) and sounds like you are reaping the same benefit.

The new Merc is looking great brother!
