Hi guys,

Need your help with a confusing issue. I have a 2016 W205 C-Class and always double lock the car. I also have the acoustics on so i know when i've locked it twice. Since i bought the car in January 2021, i found the car unlocked 4 times after locking it. I can't seem to figure out why. I stand on the other side of the road to ensure the car beeps twice and is fully locked before moving away. Because of this, i'm thinking of removing the start stop button for added security but my street is fairly quiet with a few other mercedes' parked.

Car was last serviced by previous owner in November 2020 since then it has done 2,000 miles.

Your help and advice will be appreciated.

I noticed something similar, it turned out that a door - or even the front hood were not closed 100%. the car acts like it is locking, but doesn't.
Not sure if this is similar?

Thank you for your response, all doors have been locked and physically checked so i'm quite confused as to why this happens especially intermittently. I guess i'll just wait until the next service.

Do you have the Mercedes me remote app - mbrace?
You can lock/unlock the car remotely and I think it tells you if it's locked or no.

Make sure you transfer it to your name if you bought the car used so no body connect to the car but you.

I had a similar issue: I would come out to find my trunk open. Apparently the button was getting depressed when the fob was in my pocket, probably when I stooped down. I did a check and I could open the trunk from 400' away.
