2012 C250 - Front Left Malfunction
I have a 2012 C250 Coupe and about a month ago the SRS light randomly started to go on whenever I turned or shifted weight on the left part of the seat, and off when I was not turning. It would not turn on unless I was on the left side. Today it just started appearing permanently. On an Autozone I got a code for "Status of Belt Buckles" is "Implausible" which I understand means the SRS fault is coming from a short under the seat related to the seatbelt.
I took it to the dealer and they wanted to charge me $750 for complete diagnosis... but I was able to get a free initial diagnosis. I'm still waiting for them to send me the fault codes.
"Faults for three Airbag/SRS components on drivers seat. High frequency stored faults indicate a wiring issue"
Any input as to what could cause this, or similar experiences is appreciated. I'm taking it to my other mechanic next week and would want to order some parts (perhaps seat belt w/ wiring) to see if that would fix it.
