Auxiliary Battery Malfunction, OBD II no code
Hi,
This just showed up today. Tried to turn off engine and back on, or wait 30 min in between. The message appeared to be persistent.
Plugged in Autel OBD II Code Reader. Scan showed no code.
I searched a bit. Folks good at car themselves seem to have ways to fix it. But I can't find one with clear instruction on how to troubleshoot for someone who are not familiar with auto works.
The search seems to suggest this may go away and it's still OK to drive. Is that the case?
If I have to take to repair, do I have to go to dealer? Or any shop that can handle MB? Any suggestion on how much it would cost me?
Thanks

Very common issue. You basically need to change ur auxiliary battery. Any qualified mechanic can do it. Actually some guys do it themselves. I recommend you use oem auxiliary battery as i noticed some guys used an aftermarket one but the message still pops up on their screen. One idea is to give your dealer a call see how much is it. See this video maybe you you can DIY and save $$$.

I have contacted more than 5 mechanic. None of them know specifically about it. It would need to go by the video you posted. So I'm a bit unsure if they can do it correctly.
