2016 C300 4matic with a PO401 code

My wife's C300 tossed a couple PO401 error codes this week and I am trying to gather information to fix it or get it fixed. According to the internet the P0401 is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected issue. Beyond that I have found nothing to assist with further testing or repair. I called the service department and they are two weeks out. I talked to the parts department and they stated the W205's don't have an EGR valve but the most common issue seen is a gummed up crank case vent however not related to the error. I'm hoping someone has worked through this and can offer some words of wisdom. The car has around 40k miles on it at this point.

Thanks
