Hi, I have a 2015 c300 that on cold mornings will have my garage smelling like gas. It also blows the gas smell inside the cab. This only happens in the winter time not summer. Car has about 110k. I recieved a letter stating the warranty has been extended on my car to if I am having the problem. I called my dealer and they said they can only apply the warranty id the car is currently having the problem. My problem is I will be past the warranty mark of 120k if I wait until winter. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this fixed?

Take it in and have them look at it. They obviously know there is. a Problem.

Low pressure fuel pipe warranty is now 10 years + 120,000 miles. It, however, must be not a warranty extension but a recall. I'm sure NHTSA is sleeping. Bring it to a dealer. If dealer refuse the service, file a claim on nhtsa website. They will look at it far far far in the future...

Here is the letter I got (attached). My hose was already fixed under warranty long ago.

At first I thought they extended the entire car warranty to 10 years / 120k miles.

My 2016 C300 (44K) is at the dealership getting this taken care of. They extended the new car warranty to 10Y/100K, to cover repair cost. I guess thats a better way to do it rather than a recall (??). They said the needed is for 3-4 days to get it done due to service backups, but they gave me a 2021 4matic with 350 miles on it as a loaner. Take your time boy's!

received the letter Friday last week and got it repaired today. dropped car off at 9am was picked it by 445pm

I paid to get mine replaced in Jan... they have a check waiting for me @ the dealer when I go pick up my wife's car to reimburse me now.

Hi just out of curiosity, did mercedes extend the warranty for every model fuel line or just yours?

My dealer says I have two fuel lines leaking on my 2017 E300. Does anyone know why only one is covered?

You need to be more specific as to what fuel lines.

The dealer referred it as the bottom one. The top one is covered i believe as a NTSB fix but not the bottom one. A leaking gas line is a leaking gas line 2017 E300 49000 miles.
