Lubricant for the cup holder cover?

Hi,

On bumpy road, there is a squeaky noise from the central console area. I've tried a few things and it appears to be the open cup holder cover.

- If I press hard around the clock, the noise goes away
- If I push and hold the cup holder cover toward the passenger side, the noise goes away

I'm hoping there is some lubricant that can be applied to some area that can reduce the noise. Has anyone experienced similar noise? What would be the appropriate lubricant? Where should it be applied?

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
Not sure what year is your vehicle (if it is still under warranty) but you can ask your dealership to install some felt tape to help mitigate the issue.

I see, I believe a pin holds the cover in place, if you take that off and then you can remove the cover. After that, you can see if you can push on things and see if it squeaks, if so you can then put felt tape on it and reinstall the cover.
