Need help with removing rocker panels
Hi Keith, your posts has been immense help for rebuilding my car after body damage. I was wondering how did you remove the rocker panels for the car? I can't seem to find any videos on how it's done for the W205. Did you have to remove the underbody panel? Thanks!

For anyone doing this level of work (or any work for that matter) on a Mercedes, you REALLY REALLY need a workshop manual. This will provide all the information you need, location and type of fasteners, methods and procedures for disassembly/assembly, etc. for the entire car and will save you many headaches and money.
They are cheap and available for download, something like this:
https://autocarmanual.com/en/product...-2014-to-2021/

Good luck man!

OP, I have a quick question so apparently I turned the screws too hard (and removing the splash guard/splash shield too often) and now they are clicking, assuming some of the clips are broken, can I replace the individual clips or do I need to replace the entire splash guard/ splash shield?
I also found it weird that there is no video on youtube showing the removal of the front two splash guard/shields for the W205. I wonder if it is because it is straight forward? Asking because I might also had installed the covers back on wrong.
I understand now you have an W213 but do you remember how you did it back then? Thanks!

If they are threaded inserts, I'm not sure. It depends upon how the inserts are fastened to the chassis. If they are pressed fit, it may be a chore.
Sorry I don't really know exactly without looking at it myself.
Good luck dude!

Are you talking about the underbody sheilds/covers/cladding? If so, I never had an issue with them myself so I didn't really pay attention to exactly how they are female threaded for the screws. If they are threaded thin sheet metal c-clips, then yes you can just replace the c-clip the screw threads into individually.

If you have time, can you check/crawl under or lift the car and check how many screws are needed on your E 43? Don't have to unscrew anything, just count em : ) If you could, please take pictures, if not, no worries! Should be very similar, don't stress about it too much, only do it when you have time.
Thanks again!
