Question about rim compatability and offsets

I just purchased these rims for winter tires for my 2018 C300 coupe. All the information I found online says they are compatible with a 2018 C300, but the offset for a C300 is 44 mm. The rims has an offset of 56 mm. Does this mean I would need a spacer to make up the 12 mm difference even though the rims are OEM?

Thanks!

The link you posted says it's for rear fitment. Most cars with staggered wheels have a higher offset in the rear to compensate for the wider wheels.

So I'll need a spacer for the front wheels only?

Those are the rear wheels, you need these for the fronts

If you already bought all four and can’t return I’d try mounting square (same size all four corners) 225/45/18 winter tires and see if they rub in the front before getting spacers. The narrower 225 tires will be better for snow and are ok on the 8.5” wide wheels (still within the recommended range based on my quick check when I thought of putting my less worn out front tires on the back wheels)

I design OEM wheels so I can speak on this.

I am assuming that you purchased 4x of the wheels you linked with 18x8.5J +56MM offset?

I used to have these exact wheels but in a staggered setup from the factory. Front should be 18x7.5J +44MM and rear should be 18x8.5J +56MM.

Obviously, there should be no issue with the rear, but I would be worried about the front. Since you are going from a smaller offset to a larger offset (hence the wheel mounts 'closer' to hub), you risk having the wheel rub against the front brakes. This may cause brake damage and worst case brake failure.

This isn't exactly a rare wheel or anything. Can you return 2x of the rear and get the fronts?

Thanks for the responses. Turns out I got the 2 front and 2 rear wheels properly and the wheels fit perfectly. The guy at Costco just wasn't aware the wheels were staggered and tried putting the rear wheel in the front.
