C220d w205 door lock actuator

Hi everyone, new to this site.
I'm having an issue with my 2014 c220d Blutec w205.
So basically my drivers door does not lock properly. I press the fob, everything works as it should but when I pull the drivers door handle the door opens. Sometimes it doesn't open, but if I pull a second time it does. Or if I pull it hard enough the first time it will open. I only found this fault as i caught someone in my car in the middle of the night stealing stuff and i know i locked it. I'm thinking it's the door actuator but can't find much info online. Is this a common fault?
Thanks, Sean

The thief damaged the door. Did you at least caught this thief?

Unfortunately not, but have upgraded the cameras since.
And no it wasn't him, he opens the door quite gentle, like it wasn't locked. After he rummaged around he went to the back door which was locked and just left.

Are you telling me that the thief entered a locked W205 as if there were no locked doors and without damaging or breaking anything. If this is the case I am wondering what is the point of locking my car's doors.

yes, as the post states, I think there is a problem with the door lock actuator. I locked the car as normal but the drivers door pin seamed to pop back up a small bit so never locked thatbdoor .My question was is this a common fault or just bad luck on my end.

Probably won't help a whole lot but I've taken the door cards off my W205 more times than I care to admit and whilst the actuator itself seems solid the rod that connects it to the handle inside is finnicky at best and seems to get snagged up on every little thing inside my door card (mind I've installed ambient light retrofit so had to tape down a module with cables down there and those cables came loose when installing the door card back on) and would leave the door in a weird state where the car seemed to think everything got locked (triple indicator and a beep) but any pull on the outside handle would open the door easily.
Once I took care of the loose cables and re-attached the rod to the inside handle it fixed that issue.

Now that makes sense. I would say bad luck on your side and good luck on the thief's side. I think he saw the door pin poped up.

That's exactly it. Ill pop off the door card and have a look so. Hopefully just popped out of guide or something. Was thinking about putting in the ambient lights aswell so will give me a better idea what I'm looking at. Thanks bud 👍
