Hello! I've bought myself a used 2019 Mercedes Benz Business Line about a week ago. It's a 1.5 129HP version of C-Class. I've looked everywhere on the internet and am super confused about the Apple Car/Android Auto feature. Most sites say that all C-Class Mercedes produced after 2019 should natively have Car Play built-in. I checked that, and there is a port for that in my car but when I plug the phone, nothing happens and also I can't find Apple Car anywhere in my car's multimedia station. It's not in the My Apps and Connect panels. My question is: does my car even have that feature? Is it maybe built in but not "activated"? Or maybe perhaps a previous owner did not buy that system while he was buying the car new at the time? How do I check it and if it is not present, can I buy it?
My VIN number is WDD2050751R552957 and it says that my Radio is NTG 5.5.
Thanks. I can’t see CarPlay there, have you tried the Mercedes’ store app ?
I have and there is no option to buy CarPlay service or some other service that would contain CarPlay. Also, I cannot activate the services that have been bought by the previous owner after creating Mercedes me account. Do I have to contact Mercedes info for them to tie these services to my account?
OP, this car doesn't have CarPlay. You are missing option 14U and a couple of others that go with it (see bellow from my options list). While all 2019+ models can have CarPlay, the smartphone integration is not standard in all markets, so the original owner would have had to order it. I'm not sure it can be added after the fact with NTG 5.5. It can with MBUX, but yes you first have to get the car onto your account. That's something you have to get done at a dealership as they need to verify that you are the current owner of the car, and then switch it over to your account. Once your Mercedes me services have been transferred, you can check again in the store part of the app and see if you can purchase the smartphone integration.
Oh, that looks great, so you're saying that the module of CarPlay already is installed in my car, but it is not/can not be activated? I think I will contact these guys because it seems that CarPlay can be activated remotely. That is convenient for me since I'm located in Poland.

Right MB may not offer activation via the store, but these guys can do it remotely. All the hardware is already there. The software just needs to be activated.
The links above are solutions for the older model years 2015-2018 running NTG 5.0. The C Class didn't have proper Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support until 2019. MB did offer a smartphone interface for MY2018, but it wasn't compatible with COMAND, so you had to either option COMAND or the smartphone interface. Starting with model year 2019, the C Class was upgraded to NTG 5.5, same as the E Class at that time, which supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto out of the box, but in some markets it's an extra cost option, even though it's just a software activation. Here in the USA it's a standard option included in the base price.
