Issue after remap
I'm new new to forum apologies if this has already been covered I have searches high and low but unable to find out about the issues so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I recently purchased a c250d 2015 premium plus, love the car done a few upgrades and my friend said let's remap it, he has a garage and is a mechanic and has all the software, however after the remap the car pulls hard 1st and second gear I was impressed but then 3500-4000 rpm in 3rd all the boost seems to cut out and the car seems like its lost all the remap power and its back to the factory power before the remap was done. If I switch the ignition off and back on again 1st and second power but then cuts out again, the engine management light does come on now and again but by the time I get it to the garage it's gone off. I'm stuck on what to do my friend did plug the machine in without the engine management light and it did come up with exhaust gas temperature sensor and said this would be the issue, I'd have thought this would have come up before the remap was done though?? Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks for reading and all your help in advance
He also reset the fault but there was still the same issue
Thanks for your reply, yeah it happens in every mode including manual, I was thinking of putting it back to standard map and then taking it to a reputable tuner, I just find it odd that the power just goes in 3rd gear its like the remap doesn't sit well with the ecu and just cuts off
