Nobody makes the style of hood I'm looking for. I may end up having to get one made for me, we'll see. Not a priority.
What I'm looking for is a C63-style hood (with the two longitudinal ribs) w/functional, water-proof air vents. One vent to be used as a sealed engine air intake and the other to dissipate heat from the engine compartment. This is more of a future project for now.
on the internet there are few types of W205 aftermarket hoods available... one thing to note is that the power dome is typically more distinct (taller) than the original C63.
Just thinking aloud that the adding vents to the hood would make the overall car rather too racy (would it be the look you are looking for?)
for intake wise you can look at further modifications to do a more direct routing. here was my previous setup... i made a custom airbox making use of the maximum space available, had added heatshielding layers between the box and the turbo.

I've looked at all the hoods. Nothing I like enough to swap for. Agreed, I'm definitely not going for the boy-racer look! I'm thinking more like two rows (left & right) of shallow louvers (body color) only about a 1/4" tall, discreet. But this is just a forward-looking dream at this point.
Nice intake setup! Aluminum airbox? Is that a C400/C450/C43 air snorkel? Great idea!!!

I spy an ECM.
yeap aluminium and powder coated as i had easier access to that then CF.
the air snorkel is from the W204, while the front tray was from the W205 C63.
and yeah my tuner could clone the ECM (or ECU), and i had 2 additional spares for experimental tunes.

Nice!
I'm adding a C400/C450/C43 engine compartment air intake snorkel (tray) to my ever-growing mod list. I'm wondering if there would be any appreciable benefit of running a duct from the open left-hand snorkel to direct airflow over/around the intercooler. Probably not much and would only help IATs when rolling, but... hmmm.

i would say not an extreme effect, but why not. LOL.
I even have a cold air feed from the front side grille that routes air that points toward the turbo to move the heat away! (I got this idea from the A45 setup)

Cool, another great idea! Thanks man!
Looks like after my interior, I'm moving to the engine compartment, lol.

cool cool cool….
waiting for you….
Have got oil catch cans design for you to consider; helps prolong the life of the car and improve performance (reduction in oil vapor in your intake/turbo tract)

Sweet. I ran a catch can on my GTO w/LS2 and was shocked how much oil was captured!
Since I recently spent almost 3 months worth of my car modding budget on the screen and ambient lighting, I was going to wait to let my modding account build back up to buy a steering wheel. It may not appear like it, but I do follow a strict modding budget. For the wheel I decided to go with, there is a seller that has 4 of them. I was starting to get more and more concerned that this wheel in cream/beige/almond may be somewhat rarely available and would not be available by the time I saved for it... so in a rare moment, I'm blowing my modding budget to just buy the dang thing, lol.
I decided to go with the 2019 AMG steering wheel. I think I paid an excellent price considering it is a brand-new OEM wheel with an OEM airbag.

Happy dance!!!
Well done. I’m definitely biased but I like this style AMG wheel so much better than the newest ones.

Thanks man! I agree.
I originally wanted the new style steering wheel, but there were two primary things that swayed me away from it...
First was the "blades" that have the buttons being piano black. That may work well with the piano black interior trim, but I have more aluminum accents than black... and walnut trim. I think the aluminum-trimmed 2019 wheel goes with my interior much better.
Second was the more I looked at the airbag of the newer wheel, the more it made me think of a '57 Chevy front bumper, lol.
I spent extra time shopping this and I'm glad I did. I think I found a fantastic deal. I decided to go with Tello (https://tello.com/) as the cellular provider (T-Mobile network).
The SIM card ($2 one-time fee) is being mailed to me and the plan I chose has unlimited 4G data for $29/mo.
("Unlimited" is defined as up to 25GB 4G data, then throttled to 2G for the remainder of the monthly cycle. I highly doubt I would ever get close to using 25GB/mo. in my car!)
So far I have the following installed; Android screen (complete), dashboard vents w/ambient lighting, console ambient lighting, passenger dashboard ambient lighting, footwell lighting. This has taken me more time that I thought it would have. So far I've spent about 15 hours of work to this point. (yes, I'm sure this can be done much quicker, so don't let my time spent scare you! I take my time and my attention to details causes me to do things that many people would probably overlook )
Still left to do; Under front seats ambient lighting, rear console vents w/ambient lighting, all 4 doors ambient lighting, swap to new steering wheel, configure/tweak Android, install apps and launcher, etc.
The new screen is freaking awesome! It has exceeded my expectations. Looks great and works smoothly. The 4G card config worked out perfect as well. Plugged in the 4G card with the power off, turned the unit on and it connected. Easy-peasy and the car now has fast internet without having to rely on an external device.
New steering wheel arrived a couple of days ago, woo-hoo!
Soon, I'll be travelling overseas for a couple of weeks so this project will be on-hold until I can get back to it (boo, lol). I now have all the parts I need and I'm excited to get this finished ASAP!

I can't wait to see the end product, enjoy your trip : )

I mentioned this in the ambient lighting DIY thread, if you're considering changing your door trim panels, do it when you do the lighting upgrade. The labor is not difficult but is fairly tedious and you don't want to repeat it (especially if you have to hot glue them back in). And changing the speaker wires to quick connects might be helpful as well.

those creases would bug the crap out of me personally.
on the other hand the upgraded wheel ties the rest of the car together nicely.
Do you have any tips or tricks for installing the DMP screen? My pops wanted to order one for my mom's 2018 C300, and didn't know if it was something we can do at home or needs to be done by a car audio installer.

You can certainly do this project at home! I personally havent ordered/installed the DMP Screen yet (Maybe in the next few months), but I've installed the CarPlay Module that they have to offer.
Essentially it's pretty straight forward. If you're comfortable removing/disconnecting/installing things, you should be fine. There is a straightforward video on Youtube by Flexx Alexander that goes step by step on how to completely remove the OEM Screen and install everything in the box from DMP!
Like Keith said, take your time with the install and you should be good to go! Don't force things to fit, make sure everything is wired properly so you don't have to remove and do everything again!

Me too! Thanks!
You are absolutely right - taking the door panels off, releasing all the trim clips, cutting off the panel trim tabs and gluing the pieces back on... is definitely the time to swap the trim panels if you want something different! I'm sure it would be no fun doing it a second time, lol. I considered swapping to the Black Ash wood trim pieces (I have the Burl Walnut), but ultimately decided against it primarily based on cost. I don't dislike the Burl Walnut enough to spend $700+ to swap them. But great advice jeboo!
And for anyone not quite sure what we're talking about it, it's these pieces:
